The Santa Cecilia Ensemble consists of professional musicians, both Mexican and Russian, who have studied in various countries including Mexico, Russia, Spain, Ukraine and Argentina. The group was formed in 1998 with the goal of bringing classical music to diverse audiences.

Some of the group repertoire concentrates on baroque music played on ancient instruments as viola d'amore, viola da gamba, harpsichord and spinet.

The ensemble has performed successfully in several festivals in Mexico and has been invited by
several well-known Mexican public and private institutions such as the ISSSTE, Metropolitan Autonomous University (UAM) and Tecnológico de Monterrey, among others. The ensemble regularly includes renowned soloists who collaborate on special programs.

The members of the Santa Cecilia Ensemble are always looking for new ideas to promote a sense of culture as a social value and to open opportunities for new audiences interested in classical music.

Read more about two of the innovative projects of this group:

The Magic of Music:
A different show that combines music and magic in a fun way to attract children and young people to classical music.

Memorial Concert 2010, from Independence to Revolution:
A concert of Mexican music of the nineteenth and early twentieth centuries by leading composers of the time. While the music is played, photos and video are projected to show various aspects of life in Mexico at that time.
