The Santa Cecilia Ensemble consists of professional musicians, both
Mexican and Russian, who have studied in various countries including
Mexico, Russia, Spain, Ukraine and Argentina. The group was formed in
1998 with the goal of bringing classical music to diverse audiences.
Some of the group repertoire concentrates on baroque
music played on ancient instruments as viola d'amore, viola da gamba,
harpsichord and spinet.
The ensemble has
performed successfully in several festivals in Mexico and has been
invited by
several
well-known Mexican public and private institutions
such as the ISSSTE, Metropolitan Autonomous University
(UAM) and Tecnológico de Monterrey, among others. The ensemble
regularly includes renowned soloists who collaborate on special
programs. |
